Prep'd Picks | Stuff I've Actually Bought

sneakers // makeup palette
vintage handbags // daily planner // nail polish

I have been dangerously boring lately.

New Balance Classics 574: A bit chunkier than the normal New Balance, but I'm okay with that. I had a hard time choosing between this gray and periwinkle pair and a tan and coral one. The gray pair won because they remind me of the first New Balances I ever bought and I loved those shoes.

No joke, I still have them, 12+ years later. They're my lawn mowing shoes.

Tarte Energy Noir palette: I broke one of my favorite eye shadow palettes and lost another one somewhere. This palette does a good job of replacing both.

Vintage Dooney & Bourke lot
: Sometime in the late spring I was helping myself to the contents of my mother's closet and stole borrowed one of her ancient Dooney bags (it looks like this). It's a little smaller than what I normally carry so I decided to hit Ebay to see if I could find a small wallet to match. I ended up buying the vintage lot you see above. It checks off quite a bit off my purse wish list: bucket bag, ivory/cream/white-ish bag, and a dark green leather bag. I got the entire lot for $60, which is a steal. It still doesn't solve my problem of needing a smaller wallet that isn't a Vera Bradley Zip ID case, but I love everything.

Spartina 449 Daily Planner: I had the worst time picking out a planner for this year. I wanted everything in one place, but I just couldn't find the one thing that could do what I wanted. I picked up a simple pocket planner for work and then I got this Spartina planner for blogging and a few other projects I'm working on. I'm thinking about doing an in-depth review on this planner later on, but I just want to say that I love this planner a lot more than any Lilly planner I've ever had.

Nails Inc. NailKale polish: Nude nails are very hot right now, so between that trend and my desire to try a new polish brand, this was a good pick. The formula is nice and thick, and for most of my nails only one coat was needed.
